Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a well-established, evidence-based therapy that helps people heal from trauma, anxiety, and other emotionally distressing experiences. Many of the painful symptoms we carry in the present - such as fear, shame, or low self-worth - are rooted in unprocessed memories from the past. EMDR works by activating the brain’s natural healing process to reprocess these memories so they no longer feel overwhelming or stuck.

This approach can be especially powerful when practiced through an attachment-focused lens, which emphasizes emotional safety, trust, and connection - particularly for those whose early relationships were inconsistent or painful.
