EMDR Therapy

Attachment Focused -
Eye Movement Reprocessing Desensitization (EMDR)

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a well-established, evidence-based therapy that helps people heal from trauma, anxiety, and other emotionally distressing experiences. Many of the painful symptoms we carry in the present - such as fear, shame, or low self-worth - are rooted in unprocessed memories from the past. EMDR works by activating the brain’s natural healing process to reprocess these memories so they no longer feel overwhelming or stuck.

This approach can be especially powerful when practiced through an attachment-focused lens, which emphasizes emotional safety, trust, and connection - particularly for those whose early relationships were inconsistent or painful. In addition to addressing the memory itself, this lens gently attends to unmet emotional needs, helping restore a sense of inner security and relational well-being.

With AF-EMDR, you can:

  • Heal painful memories and trauma at the root

  • Strengthen emotional regulation and resilience

  • Rebuild trust in yourself and your relationships

  • Cultivate a deeper sense of safety, connection, and self-worth

Whether you’re processing a single traumatic event or the impact of long-standing relational wounds, EMDR offers a structured, effective path to healing and emotional freedom.
