Therapy Giving You The Answers You Need
I have been a psychotherapist for over 15 years and love that my work enables me to work with so many different people. I was teaching at-risk teens before deciding to embark a post-graduate degree. I graduated from Antioch University with a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, and a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. I’m also licensed by the Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Marriage and Family Therapist by the state of California, and a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT). I currently serve on the board for the Marin County chapter for CAMFT. Working in the community is a passion. I provide seminars and lectures at local campuses, and I am an advocate for women and families in need.
Deciding to engage in therapy is a brave decision. And not an easy one to make. The reason I know this? Because I have had therapy myself and experienced its benefits. My life experiences have significantly impacted the type of therapy I provide. Mental health issues were present in my household growing up and I have experienced the impact of their struggles on my life. I understand what it takes to heal from having emotionally immature parents and I can help you do that, too.

Individual therapy and couples counseling can deliver a way out of the suffering and a path to the answers you need to move toward the light at the end of the tunnel. When you are in a place of confusion, it can be really lonely. Finding a way to dig your way out of that dark place can feel untenable. And it leaves you feeling hopeless if you can’t find the right solution. I appreciate the difficulties you can experience around forging a new way forward.
Therapy You Can Trust To Help You Reach Your Goals
As a result, I believe you can improve the quality of your life through your relationships. And you can achieve a more profound and meaningful connection to yourself and others. But this takes work. It's not something you can do on your own. Therapy is not going to feel good all the time. And that's fine, but I want there to be movement. Each and every time we meet.
There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to finding a therapist. I will always steer the conversation towards my client's benefit with understanding and kindness. But sometimes, that's very necessary. Negative self-talk doesn't serve anyone. We will challenge the language you use on yourself and how you reflect when with others.
Why I Love My Work
What I love most about my work in individual counseling and couples support, is it's so dynamic. There's never a dull moment. My clients keep me on my toes. And I am always learning, looking for new ways to make an impact in my practice. When you book a session with me, I always strive to make sure you feel heard, understood, trusted and believed.
I care what my clients think and how their work, works for them.
My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirmative. And services are provided through an anti-racist, social justice lens.
I'm currently providing services online and in-person. With locations in San Rafael and Los Angeles, California.
